Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Toolzom is built so that the tools work without collecting your data. This policy explains what information is processed when you visit the site, why, and what choices you have.
Summary
- The tools run in your browser. What you type, paste or open in them (text, JSON, passwords, Wi-Fi details, files) is not sent to our servers, stored or logged.
- There are no user accounts and nothing to sign up for.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
- The site does not show advertising.
Who is responsible
The site is operated by Marcelo (Peru), who is responsible for the processing described in this policy. You can contact us at [email protected].
Data you enter in the tools
All tools process information locally, in the memory of your browser. The content you enter never reaches us: we cannot see it, and it disappears when you close or reload the page. Files you open in a tool are read on your device and are not uploaded.
Generated results, such as passwords or QR codes, are created on your device as well. If you copy or download them, they are handled by your own browser and operating system.
Technical data from hosting
To deliver the pages, our hosting and content-delivery provider (currently Cloudflare, Inc.) processes the technical data that every web request contains: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser's user agent. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure and protect it against abuse. We do not combine it with other data to identify you.
See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details on how it handles this data.
Cookies and local storage
Toolzom does not set cookies and does not use your browser's local storage. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter automated traffic; it does not track you across sites.
Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics service. If we add one, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where required.
Advertising
The site does not currently show advertising. If we add advertising, we will update this policy first, including the information required about cookies and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Legal basis
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or a similar jurisdiction, we process hosting data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Any analytics or advertising cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
How long data is kept
We do not keep any data you enter in the tools. Technical hosting data is kept by the provider only for as long as needed for security and operations, according to its own retention policy.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. When this happens, they rely on recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Because we do not collect the content of the tools and have no user accounts, we usually hold no personal data about you. To exercise any right, write to [email protected].
Children
Toolzom is a general-audience website. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the site or the law changes, and the date at the top of the page will show when it was last revised.
